SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's military said the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday fired at least one unidentified projectile toward the East Sea, Yonhap News Agency reported.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said it had detected the launch, without providing further details.
